The Power of Quotes

Quotes can carry a person very far in life. They could inspire, encourage, and comfort people. I have decided to make an entire post dedicated on beautiful quotes for these reasons. Recently I have asked some fellow Bloggers what their favorite inspirational quotes are, and why they love them. They have all sent in some awesome quotes and explanations! Enjoy!

SazSinclair (@sazsinclair)

“Don’t spend longer than 5 minutes worrying about something that won’t matter in 5 years.”

I love this and think its so important because it’s so easy to get caught up in the moment and at the time things can seem so much bigger than they actually are. If something is not going to impact your life in the long term why spend now getting so caught up about it. It keeps my mind so positive and stops me worrying about it for days and days.

Liv (@staticgypsyblog)

“And though she be but little, she is fierce” from Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream.

It’s inspirational to me because it reminds me that no matter how small I feel I can still kick ass and take names and be a fierce woman.

Faz (@likeaparisienne)

“Dreams do come true. If they didn’t, we wouldn’t have them. But only you have the power to make them a reality.”

This quote is a combination of the quotes my art teacher had plastered across the classroom walls and a little of my life experience. To dream is to be human, but to work hard to make it come true is reality. I always turn to this quote when I need some inspiration, because it reminds me that I can want that job, that bag or that life. But no-one’s going to simply hand it to me. No, I have to get out there and work hard to make my dream a reality.

Justine Machine (@GirlGoneDreamer)

“At the end of the day people won’t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou

This is my all time fav quote because it reminds me to treat people how I want to be treated. I want to be remembered as someone who made people feel good, and maybe made a difference even if in just a small way!

EatSleepLoveTravel (@eatsleeplovetrvl)

“Live with no excuses and travel with no regret.”

Because life is too short not to enjoy every single second.

Lylia Rose

“She turned her can’t’s into can’s and her dreams into plans.”

This is my favourite quote as it’s so inspiring.  It tells me anything is possible if you put your mind to it.  Replace I can’t with I can.  Make your dreams come true.  If you want something then do something about it.  Where there’s a will, there’s a way (another favourite quote which ties in quite nicely with this one!)

Bervin (@SlightlyVoguish)

“Invest in the people that invest in you.”

I love this quote because it makes me acknowledge the ones that always support me and makes me motivated to work.

  5. Great quotes you shared here, quotes go a long way. I don’t think there’s a specific quote I have in mind that is my ALL TIME favorite, but one I’ve recently been loving is, “It took me a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to stay silent”
